元気そうに見ていますが・・・・・・・近づいて見てみると、先が白化しています！これは、ピンチ！と、思っていたのですが、ミドリイシの先は「成長点」と呼ばれる部分で、ミドリイシはここから成長していくそうです。そして、ドンドン伸びていきます。
ミドリイシの表面の色は共生している褐虫藻で白以外の色に見えています。なので、成長が早いミドリイシはとくに成長点の部分は自分だけが成長していきます。よって、褐虫藻の共生が追いつかないために、白くなって骨格部分が透けて見えるそうです。
と、いうことは、これはミドリイシの特徴でいわゆる白化ではないということ！
あの部分はたぶん健康な状態なはず・・・・・・・・
少しほっとしました！よかったよかった。しかし、しっかりと観察していかないといけないことには、どうなるかわまりません！
またコドラートにいってきます！
ちなみに、勝手に住んでいるのはアミメサンゴガニです。この子はいい子なので、次も住んでいたら同時に観察してみましょう！
